A Deep Thought

While I was driving home tonight over snowy and possibly icy streets, I decided to eat the banana I had in my bag. I was coming from the gym after all and I was hungry. I was just about done with the banana when I thought, "If I throw this banana peel outside the car window onto the ice, will that make the surface more slippery or less?" In cartoons some hapless idiot is always slipping on a banana peel. But does a banana on ice double the slipperiness or do the two forces negate each other? Hmmn.

I would throw the banana peel out of the window as a test but it's too damn cold for me to even consider rolling the window down.
